The Orange Force delivers Mendix, IoT, and RFID solutions to build fast, scalable, and future-ready applications while also providing Mendix training and enablement to both individual developers and businesses. We are passionate about helping our customers work smarter and faster with cutting-edge technology such as the Mendix low-code platform, Big Data, AI, IoT, and RFID.
Even though we bring 200+ years of experience to the table, we see technology as a means to an end, not a goal in itself. And we’re huge fans of Star Wars and D&D and proud of it.
This is our story.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…
No wait, the year was 2023 and the location was ‘s-Hertogenbosch, a beautiful, historical city in the South of the Netherlands.
Wieke Bouten and Jeffrey Kwee, two experienced Mendix tech entrepreneurs who worked together for 12+ years at companies like Capgemini, Timeseries, and Mendix/Siemens, set out on a mission to help companies tackle their Digital Transformation challenges.
They had a long history of creating smart apps with Mendix, Big Data, AI, IoT, and RFID, and were quickly joined by their former colleagues, Mendix Experts Paul Ketelaars (one of the world’s first Mendix MVPs) and Tom Sweegers.
The TOF team put their technical skills and expertise to work to help customers Collaborate, Innovate, and Accelerate. In the year that followed, they successfully helped customers worldwide optimize and automate their business processes, which resulted in an explosive growth of the team.
The TOF Management Team was joined by Matthew Segur (MD TOF US) and experienced business and tech leaders Michel Schilt, Dirk Blaauw, and Stephan Numan.
Like an orange phoenix rising from the ashes, The Orange Force was born!

- The abbreviation for The Orange Force is ‘TOF‘, the Dutch word for ‘Cool’ – The Pun

With extensive experience leading TimeSeries University and Mendix’s Learning Programs, including Mendix Academy, Yves is a top-tier Mendix Trainer MVP and certified Expert developer. His passion? Sharing his knowledge and skills to help others reach their peak in Mendix mastery.

Jonathan Schmitt
With more than 7 years of experience, Jonathan Schmitt is our trainer ready for all your USA-based training requests. Jonathan has a background in front-end and full-stack development and has worked internally for the Mendix organization as a manager and tech lead.
Jonathan loves to teach and loves a puzzle more than anything, getting into the crux of how a problem can be solved efficiently and reliably.
Jeffrey Kwee
With over 12 years of Mendix development and training experience under his belt, Jeffrey blends expert teaching with his dry humor to create an engaging learning experience. His mission? Help you become the best version of yourself in both software development and consulting.
